SEASEC Challenge Weeks at Campus@Sea

  • Campus@Sea 9c Hellingweg Den Haag, ZH, 2583 DZ Netherlands (map)

On the 19th of May, we get exclusive access to the SEASEC Challenge Weeks, an international initiative hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Defence and the Northern Naval Capability Cooperation (NNCC), that takes place at Campus@Sea, located in the Scheveningen Harbour.

Different actors come together - navies, governments, technology companies, and researchers - to strengthen the protection of critical undersea infrastructure, such as cables, pipelines, and seabed sensors, across the six NATO countries bordering the North Sea.

As the seabed becomes an increasingly strategic domain in the face of hybrid threats and maritime security challenges, the SeaSEC offers an opportunity to witness the collaboration between civil and military partners. During the special press programme, we will experience how innovative technologies, such as autonomous systems, underwater robotics, and artificial intelligence, are being used in realistic scenarios to detect and respond to potential threats. We will explore the latest developments in cybersecurity both locally and internationally. There will be a special focus on initiatives aimed at strengthening the digital resilience of The Hagueas it prepares for the NATO summit in June.

Included in the program:  Cybersecurity developments in The Hague, GPT-NL: A Dutch Foundation Language Model in Progress, Visit to the Digital Forensics Lab – Leiden University of Applied Sciences, Satellite Protection & the Global Threat Landscape.
